Our recent involvement with property development company QED has led us to rethink how our built environment works.
Part of our brief was to help tell their story – that of an investment and development company focused on the regeneration and transformation of brownfield sites – but with a radical new approach.
QED's vision is to increase the flexibility, function, diversity and sustainability of the built environment. To design and invest in buildings designed for deconstruction and promote the re-use of resources wherever feasible.
Their expertise in urban regeneration, time-based opportunities and meanwhile or interim use is helping to unlock redundant urban sites which can not only ease the pressure on affordable home provision, but also contributes to real ‘city making' – creating valuable, viable and vibrant communities, often within a timeframe of months, rather than years.
