OpenHydro is a technology business that designs and manufactures marine turbines to generate renewable energy from tidal streams. The company was formed in 2005 after negotiating the world rights to Open-Centre technology in late 2004. Day 1 were appointed to support OpenHydro in both the naming, branding and subsequent design and production of all their marketing and communications collateral.
We have created OpenHydro’s annual report for the last 4 years alongside a range of other material including exhibitions, website updates and promotional items. Each year the report focuses on a theme that reflects OpenHydro’s recent activities and this year’s theme depicts 'the pathway to industrialisation', charting the company's evolution from a research and development organisation to that of an industrial manufacturer.
